Roadmap

Four milestones, each with one test it has to pass before the next one starts. We share the result of every test on X, good or bad.

  1. 01Now

    Proof of concept

    Replace the rendering engine with the browser's own layout. The test: 2,000 layers on the canvas at 60 frames per second.

  2. 02

    Foundations

    Layers, frames, text and styles that work. The test: build a real landing page from scratch in Kalka. The repository goes public.

  3. 03

    MVP

    Rich text, the MCP server and the project folder format. The test: a first client project designed and shipped with Kalka.

  4. 04

    V1

    Design system tools, a Git panel and shaders. The test: every new project at our studio starts in Kalka.

No dates on purpose: a milestone ends when its test passes. Founding members vote on what comes after V1.
